INDIAN HEAD, Md.-Medical personnel from the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) rescue a survivor from a catastrophic collapse during a simulated high-yield explosive event at the Raymond M. Downey Sr. Training Facility Nov. 17.  According to HMC (SS) Michael E. Waters, the senior enlisted advisor and Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC)for the unit, "CBIRF medical has been integrated into rescue operations to provide quick on scene triage and medical stabilization during and after patient extrication.  This expedites care in a mass casualty situation.
