Major O’Driscoll was born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in North Augusta, South Carolina. He attended Lander University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine in 2006. He commissioned via OCC in March 2008.
Upon graduation of TBS he reported to introductory flight screening in Manassas, VA. After completion of IFS 2ndLt O’Driscoll reported to MATSG-21, naval air station Pensacola, FL for aviation pre-flight indoctrination. Upon completion of API, 2ndLt O’Driscoll reported to VT-2 aboard whiting field for primary flight school. In 2010, he completed primary flight school and was selected for the MV-22 Osprey pipeline. After completing rotary wing flight training with HT-18, 1stLt O’Driscoll reported to MATSG-22, naval air station Corpus Christi, TX to begin advanced multi-engine flight school with VT-35. In February 2011 1stLt O’Driscoll received his naval aviator designation.
In February 2011, 1stLt O’Driscoll reported to VMMT-204 aboard Marine Corps air station New River, Jacksonville, NC where he completed the MV-22 Osprey syllabus. In May 2011 he reported to VMM-266 aboard MCAS New River. In October of 2012 Captain O’Driscoll flew operations in support of the 26th MEU’s response to “super storm Sandy”. In March of 2013, Capt O’Driscoll deployed with VMM-266 (REIN) on the 26th MEU aboard the USS Kearsarge. In December 2013, he reported to Marine Aircraft Group 26 aboard MCAS New River as the ground safety officer. He attended the Logistics Officer Course aboard Camp Johnson, Jacksonville, NC and was designated a Logistics Officer in May of 2014. Capt O’Driscoll reported to the command element, III Marine Expeditionary Force, in Okinawa, Japan in June of 2014. He served as the command element G-35 maritime prepositioning planner from 2014-2016. In 2015, Capt O’Driscoll was assigned as the Marine Corps liaison officer to U.S. Army I Corps during exercise Ulchi Freedom Guardian in Yongin, South Korea. In May of 2017, Capt O’Driscoll reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 451, Motor Transport Company, Orlando, FL for Inspector-Instructor duty. In May 2019 Major O’Driscoll reported to Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron Three (MWHS-3), aboard MCAS Miramar. Major O’Driscoll served as the MWHS-3 S-4 and then as the Executive Officer for the Headquarters and 3d Marine Aircraft Wing’s Commanding General’s staff from May 2019 to August 2020. In August 2020, Major O’Driscoll reported to Marine Aircraft Group 16 as the S-4 department head providing logistics services to eleven squadrons. In 2022 Major O’Driscoll attended the Advanced Expeditionary Logistics Course (AXLOC), earning the secondary MOS of 0477 Expeditionary Logistics Instructor (ELI). Also, in 2022 Major O’Driscoll was assigned to MARFORSOUTH in New Orleans, LA where he served as the G-39 information operations officer, the Aide de Camp to Commander MARFORSOUTH / MARFORRES, and was an Exercise Planner for the G-37 exercise branch. In July 2025, Major O’Driscoll was assigned as the Executive Officer for the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force.
